Hello, at my house we DO have wireless internet, but its crap so I don't think I could really enjoy playing online games because I would probally be lagging all of the time. Are there enough games on the 360 that make it worth it with single player alone? Also I would be doing splitscreen with people in the room quite often. I want to play MW2 online but I think it would be laggy so hows the single player mode? Also, are there enough other games on the 360 that are fun by yourself? And do you really need a strong connection to be able to play games decently online? I also would have a problem with using a wire to connect the xbox to my router so how is the wifi on the new 360 slim? Thank you so much for taking the time to help me. :)

Depends on what games you want... I don't recommend Call of Duty or Halo 3 but for a rent, but if you get Far Cry 2, Mass Effect, Fallout 3, or other singleplayer-focused games it is very good. I also recommend Final Fantasy XIII, GTA IV, and BioShock 1.

The 360 was meant for online play. Sure there are great single player games like Fallout 3, GTA, Red Dead Redemption, but all of those games utilize online to make them better. All three of those games have DLC and multiplayer (except Fallout 3).

There's plenty to do on the 360 without going online. I've got about 50 games and I almost never go online. In addition to some of the ones already mentioned. There are Borderlands (has a great co-op), Assassin's Creed 1 and 2, Red Faction Guerrilla, The Orange box, Dragon Age, Mass Effect 1 and 2, Alan Wake, Fable 1 and 2. The list can go on and on, it just depends on what you want to play. There are very few games on the 360 that need to be online to enjoy, even games like Halo 3 have a good single player campaign, which of course is enhanced by it's multi-player, but it is not necessary to go online to enjoy the game.

As far as MW2 single player it was ok. personally I enjoy the first MW's single player more. Not sure how your connection at home stack up, but you really do need some kind of a broadband connection to get a really good lag free connection to Live. Other than that wireless G routers work fine with it.

As far as the New Xbox 360's built in wireless. I have a new 360s but I've only used the wireless to test it out ( I keep mine wired), and it works well. It has a wireless N adapter so it's more than fast enough.
