I have a playstation 3 and i love it. However, all my friends have a 360 only and i want to play cod and other games with them online but i dont really wanna pay $200 for a 360 when i dont really think i will use it except to game with my friends. However i would be able to barrow alot of games from them but on the other hand i dont really want any games for the 360 that i cant get on the ps3. I dont like halo and gears is about the only game i would get that is an exclusive. Should i get it just to game with my friends?
I wouldn't get it; I'm sure your friends friends are going to move on from COD4 pretty soon. Two-hundred dollars (plus games and LIVE) is a pretty big "fun" investment; I'm sure you can do other things with your friends at a lesser price. I would, however trade-in/sell the PS3 for an XBOX360. Do you have/enjoy some of Sony's exclusives? That should determine your answer.
The xbox exclusives you aren't interested in and if its only for one game to play your friends then try and get a cheap 2nd hand or even just an arcade version which is cheaper than the 60gb. There are options out there but remember you will need to buy LIVE and the various things that go with it. But bare in mind it is a great console and has a wider variety of games and other features than the PS3. I think it would be a good asset but it is a lot of money to spend..
try and find a used one from ebay or gamestop i wouldnt buy it just for a few games since you already have a PS3 unless you wouldnt mind getting rid of it in exchange for a 360.
Used xbox 360 = more chances of rroded.. Then even if its warranty u might be ripped off it for a week. So buy a new 1. U would get to like it eventually, fable 2 is nice halo 3 is good.. Gta dlc wud be nice,xbla has sm nice games etc.
Getting a 360 is a huge investment because you have to get games and XBL with it. Unless you're planning on spending many hours with it don't get it and if you're going to get one get a new one, getting a used one would likely lead to RROD.

lol they are either poor or just dont want a ps3 because they have a 360.
But what is even worse is that i alrdy have cod4 and 5 for the ps3 and so i would probably just wait for cod4 2 for the 360. Also i have played halo 3 enough to realize that i dont want it because though it has probably some of the best multiplayer features and different modes ever for an fps, it has very VERY bland gameplay if you realize it.
I feel that the 360 would just be a money pit of which i wouldnt get much use out of. O well maybe ill find one lying on the street somewhere for me to take.
personally, i would get rid of the PS3 and trade it in towards the 360. Call of Duty is way better on 360 and Gears of War 2 is amazing (dispite some lag and glitching issues once in awhile). to me its a really easy choice. the 360 is far superior in games, and i mean quality games.
