Ihate WoW and love oblivion and some of my friends who play WoW hate oblivion. Its alot different. It focuses on quests and exploration rather than grinding. Also the combat is in real time so its alot different in that sense. Graphics are 100 times better than WoW. I would definitley reccomend it but if youre looking for a WoW clone this isnt it.
i play both games, and i love them, but for different reasons. Oblivion totally immerses you, whereas WoW is based off of the interaction with other players. You should definately buy Oblivion. It's worth it to grab the expansions too.
They aren't really comparable. Oblivion has more of a story. WoW mostly you just try to level and get uber armor and weapons. The biggest complaint I have for Oblivion is it only has like 8 different sets of weapons and armor
