So i'm "borrowing" my internet from a neighbor, with his permission of course, but i only get wireless internet. i could ask him to run a separate cord downstairs, but thats kind of a pain in the a$$. so i was wondering if having the wireless adapter would make my connection more laggy, slower etc? since its in a separate unit? im in the apartment right under him.. i figure if i did want to run a cord downstairs, i would have to pay over $100 for a router anyways..

why would you put borrowing in inverted commas and then say you had permission?

Why would you call apostrophes "inverted commas"?

because they arent apostrophes? lol an apostrophe (a single mark) is something you would use to eg. indicate ownership (steve's), what you used were quotation marks or inverted commas, nice try though

not really seeing as you didnt answer me first question. What you basically implied by your first post is that you were stealing his internet with his permission (conundrum) Hence why i am reluctant to help you

is your life really that pathetic that you have to be a **** on a gaming forum to get a laugh? grow up.

keese510
so instead of answering my question you chose to insult me? thats a good way to solve your problem, you are being much more rude than i am. i asked a simple question, because if you really are "borrowing" your neighbours internet then why would i or anyone else want to help you?

You would have to see what kind of connection you are getting for your PC. If it is anywhere neer good you should be fine for a wireless adaptor for the 360 bro!

how very subtle of you, but i asked a very simple question in the beginning and he is still yet to answer it, he instead decides to insult me. I refuse to help someone who steals internet from someone else, its immoral and unethical

It is 100% wrong to steal yeah. In the end though the guy with the wireless internet should have it password protected anyways....it's not like he split his cable and ran it to his house....lol. Whenever I'm out and about at a friends house or whatever I sometimes pick up unlocked wireless signals....they seem like they might be private but either way if I can surf on it...I well. (using my laptop or iphone...whatever I have on me)

I would agree if you have wireless and it's not secured it's your own fault if another is on your network. Last I checked it is not stealing using any unsecured network. Many cities and apartment complexes have gone to free wifi for it's residents. So the reality is it's not right but it's not stealing.
