Would you buy gears 2 if it it still has host advantage?

I might have to rent it first.For those that don't know some games are not run by server so if you make a game your xbox acts as a server normally this would not matter but for some reason in gears of war you were like god if you hosted a game.Your bullet'a were faster, stronger and more accurate.

I loved the single player, as well as the co-op, but not so much the online. Gears 2 retaining host advantage doesn't really matter to me as I'm buying it for single player and co-op.

its not a minor thing. It super notice able, and it makes the game so frustrating. I quit playing GoW the second i noticed the host advantage, which was like 3 weeks into the game.

same here i played through the campaign at least 5 times co-op was awesome thats why i liked the first gears, online in that game wasnt that fun to me

yeah...but i still hate that avantage tho... My gamertag is CrookedDon47000 and if you look at my achivements i dont have the host achivement yet but i have the 10,000 kills tho...but i never host hell i think im raw without it...all u host punks need a little advantage cuz u know what will happen when i step up...till then u punks keep on hosting i donk need it. u guys/girls. I agree, but I like a good challenge. Even with host advantage I still manage to rake in enough kills to fall into 2nd place, sometimes first. i love how they blast me in one shot with a shotgun from a good distance..lol. I pay em back with some sneak n' go chainsaw maneuvers. And this is coming from a Gears of War player (me) who isnt even that good. I've only played about a week's worth of GOW online. It's so fun.

Host advantage isn't something that is "put into games." It's like a side effect.

A slight host advantage is understandable, but the HA in GoW was ridiculous. You always knew who the host of the game.

It didnt bother me. And it's not going to sway me from buying a great game. If you dont like it, dont play with people who take advantage of Host advantage. Simple as that.
