I completed the game once on Normal (it was still super hard!!) and rescued all the little sisters and got the 'good' ending :)

I'm going to play it again, on Hard, and harvest all the little sisters and get all the the achievements I missed before. I have a few questions for you veteran BioShock players, would you kindly answer these if you got the time.

1)To get research PhD achievement... do I have to fully research ALL the splicers and cameras and stuff over again, even if I already got the achievements from my 1st play thru? I got all the research achievements except Serucity Camera and Rosie. Since I'm playing it from the beginning again, do I have to get all the splicers and stuff over again?

2)How the heck do I get into Sander Cohen's apartment?

3)Any other tips and tricks you can provide to me?

Thanks, much appreciated.

To get the Research PhD, you will have to research everything over again unfortunatly :( To get into Sander Cohen's apartment, you have to make sure you dont kill him when he reveals himself after you finish his masterpeice in Fort Frolic (his apartment door will be locked otherwise). As for advice, the Crossbow fully upgraded owns most splicers in 1-2 shots plus you can recollect some of the arrows you shoot into them after they're dead. Good luck!

You can NOT kill him in Fort Frolic.

Go to his house in the apartment level, then he will come down stairs, and then, you can get a "power to the people station"

Also, kill him, take a picture. You get an achievement.

I, btw, thought bioshock was hella easy.

Another thingI thought of too, if you equip both Armored Shell tonics you can shrug off a TON of damage from bullets and meele attacks. I had my guy equiped with those plus the elemental dmg reduction tonics and nothing really harmed him too much.

Awwww..poops. I was like "Yes I completed the masterpiece!!!." "Oh noes a friggin dude in a tux with a bunny mask." Then I shot him in the face with the shotgun right away. I got the acheivement though for taking a picture of his dead body.

The research goes really quick if you do it right. Electrobolt anything then take pictures of it until it wont take any more. By bolting it you get extra score and the research goes up faster. I have gained 2 complete levels off of one guy doing it this way. Also, its good to do the research because it makes everything easier to kill or it will hack without you playing "pipe dreams".

ps: I beat it on hard the first time and also thought is was quite easy

its in the next level, where you go through peoples apartments to get to Fontaine's House. There will be two splicers dancing in his living room or something... kill them and he will come out of a door that is locked otherwise.

btw, freezing turrets and cameras slows down the flow in the pipe dreams minigame, or at least thats what it said on a loading screen one time.

I thinks the area is named Olympus Heights, on the first floor of the apartment complex.

thanks for the responses guys. i'll definately use that bow gun more often, as I only found out how effective it was until I was at the end of the game.

to tackle the big daddies easily keep you machine gun and when he comes after you just unlaush it on the big daddy ...very effective tactic

The most challenging thing you'll encounter while playing on hard is the Big Daddies in my opinion, and I read about a really good way to defeat them on here a little while ago. Once you get the grenade launcher go get a whole bunch of proximity mines. Find something that will explode(gas tank, oil barrel, etc...you'll find these all over the place later in the game)and shoot at least 3(if not more)proximity mines onto it. Once you have your crazy ghetto rigged death bomb, use telekinesis to bring it over to the Big Daddy and then throw it at them. I've killed the goons with one hit using these bad boys which makes getting the little sisters much easier than it should be.

Knubbz has got it as far as taking care of Big Daddy's goes. That is what I did and I never got killed by one and rarely got hit. The idea is to keep your distance!

A buddy of mine is a photgrapher. Talk abut creaming his pants. Took him weeks, playing everyday to complete the game. He was obsessed with getting 'good captures' and would replay whole sections just to get a photo of a splicer in a particular pose. What a nut.
