I keep seeing games with dog characters. Why? I can't get into games without a human character.

Tokyo Jungle on the PS3 was nothing but playing as animals and it was incredibly cool. Well, not so much playing as the herbivores, but... If the game is doing something interesting with its protagonist - anything from the story they're telling from that unique point of view to just weird game mechanics - then I'll play as anything they want me to, whether it's a man or a woman or a baby, an alien or a demon or an animated skeleton, a dog or a cat, or even a walking, talking, feeling piece of crap. I always keep an open mind.
@thedarklinglord: +1 for Tokyo Jungle. There's also always the slightly more anthropomorphic versions of animals.
Always wondered what it is like to scratch my nuts with my foot.
Maybe it would be the same sensation if you can sniff your own ass. lol
