360 nor ps3 can handle crysis, and a dumbed down version of it would just take away from the experience. the beta barely runs on my pc as it is, and if it had to be scaled down even more for a console, it'd suck.

yeah, crytek pretty much said highend DX9 PCs will be running the game barebones, consoles have no chance.
right now im running crysis at high with an 8800gts and 2gb ram and while its very pretty, optimizations need to happen. 360 users, dont even think of having this game on your console. at least not for now or until tghe cryengine 2 is ported to the console and properly optimized for it
I think everyone in this thread is underminding the power current gen consoles have. Would it take optimization? Of course. But to say the 360/PS3 would simply not play it is out of the question.
