Wouldn't you be happy if Bungie started work on a multiplayer-only game?

To keep any focus from going to a campaign mode that lasts 10 hours and isn't even that fun and that most Halo fans don't care too much about? (Don't even try to say that's not true just because YOU bought Halo3 for $60 for a 10 hour campaign)

I can trust Bungie to make a fun game and I think it would be so great to hear that their next shooter would be a Halo-inspired, multiplayer-only shooter that would be much deeper than Halo2 and 3 and still focus on the most important and only important thing - being fun to play.

Maybe that way we could surely have another game like Halo2 that really made the player want to get to the next level in matchmaking.

And surely have good maps (Halo3 :() And more maps. Good small maps, good medium sized, good large maps.

I'd say keep all the movement and shooting and general controls very similar. It's simple at its core and that's why it's so good.

Maybe they could also make the vehicles handle more like vehicles do in racing games (as in, a little more challenging to go as fast as possible across a map). I don't think there's been a shooting game with vehicles like that - it'd be awesome. And add racing modes. And stunt modes. Rocket Race is pretty fun, think of how fun a whole racing/stunding playlist could be with vehicles that handled like real vehicles and maps designed for those vehicles.

Overall though, I'd say don't change too much. Halo games are excellent at their core (movement, controls, high jumps, etc).

I would rather they make a game that has alot of super jumps and crap, Halo 3 has about zero glitches. while good without them, I miss super jumps and getting out of maps without running into constant death barriers.

maybe halo 3 was more disappointing then halo 2 and even that was dissapointing maybe bungie should team with free radical as they know more as far as fpses go ,, they were the developers of goldeneye and perfect dark and the whole timesplitters series

I prefer single player over multiplayer, and it's been a long time since I've played a long multiplayer FPS.

They're all so short these days because they put more effort into multi-player.. but look at games that focus primarily on single player. Half-life 1, a fantastic and long (but not long enough to overstay its welcome) game. Then there's Half-life 2, and so on.

I'd rather have a long and well made single player that supports online co-op.

While some singleplayer campaigns may not always be that great, a game just seems like it's missing a piece of itself when you take out the campaign mode. As long as they made the multiplayer extremely deep, with tons of content, then I'd say go for it.
