I went to a local EB Games today and I wanted to trade my core 360 toward an Elite (I have a premium already), and even with all of the original packaging and me trading in Crackdown they only gave me $120 in store credit :x. The guy at the counter was even surprised after scanning my old 360 in the computer that it was only worth that much. Of course, they'll put it on sale for $249.99 the next day and Crackdown $54.99 -_-. I'm never gonna trade in anything to a EB Games.
Of course. I'm just saying 360s are worth crap at EB Games, or anything for that matter trade in wise. I never did trade my 360 in. And I have a core and premium because my premium's drive stop reading anything so I had it repaired, but it took so long I bought a core so I didn't miss the Gears of War release.
Well, duh, if you want more dough, do it on eBay yourself. I have traded games that was only worth less than one dollar to Gamestop. Also for game value, it is more about avalibility. They will pay more when they have less games in stock. It doesn't matter how good or bad the game is. Meaning rare crappy games will have more trade in value.magicalclick
That's why you should never trade in anything to them, especially rare games (like an English version of DBGT Final Bout). You'll still get way more on E bay than any game store. My friend had to learn the hard way when he needed money so he traded his Marvel vs. Capcom 2 to them for $20 cash and they later sold it at $54.99 the next day when he tried to buy it back.

Bummer dude, that sucks. I traded in three xbox games, and they only gave me five bucks for them. Five bucks!! I hate EB games sometimes.
Im pretty sure that whatever the price of the used game or system your trading in..... you will get half of what the used price is. So say for whatever reason you are trading in Rainbow six vegas for the 360 (it is 55 dollars used) you would get about 26 or 27 bucks for it used. Thats why trading in blows.
We dont rip you off, it just depends how many of a certain item we have. Clealy 360s are abundant so you get lower trade in value since there are so many. Makes sense right?

Never sell anything to EB Games they dont give you anything. Try eBay, only go to EBGames if you want to get rid of a bunch of games and want anymoney they'll give you.
Dude I brough in 8 games to EB games to trade in to pre-order Halo 3 and Assassins Creed, and the most they gave me was $6 for one of the games ( I only got 24 bucks in total, and all games were in good condition with their instructions.)
