Wow, I just paid EA $15 for a game that is completely broken.

I bought the downloadable game "Battlefield 1943" for $15 and it seems like a great game and everything, except that you can't play it.

The game is unable to connect to EA's servers, and since it's an online game only, I just gave EA $15 for basically nothing.

While the may hypothetically fix the game at some point, until they do, I'm pretty pissed.

And even if they fix it, who gets the millions of dollars in interest that EA made off of our money that they got and kept in their bank while we had a game that doesn't work?

But its only broken for your own protection!

I am a somewhat irritated too. I didn't buy the game but downloaded the demo and could not get into a game. EA servers have always been crap in my experience. Trying to play MLB 2K5 on my Xbox was horrible.

Considering that the interest rate EA is probably going to get isn't much more than say 5%, they'd have to shift more than a million units to even make 1 million USD in interest. Since battlefeild only just came out, to have made millions off the sale proceeds they'd actually have had to have sold something like 15 million copies already.

ive been able to get on every time, sometimes you have to try and join more than once, but you eventually get in, persistance is the key. so stop complaining and get on with it! :Dchaoscougar1

Yeah it is pretty damn annoying but all you can do is just be patient. I still can't believe EA didn't prepare for this though.

I did not even know that game was out yet, but, if they get their act together, I guess I could play the game's trial.
