IGN stated its the perfect game for stoners. I'll try the demo out later today!mikel222222
Hmm, maybe that's why I've always liked it. :D Yeah, but give the demo a try.
I'm downloading the demo later today as well, i'm anticipating it being good based on all the reviews i've read. I have been sitting on 1200 microsoft points so if i like the game i'll be getting it for sure :).

Now keep in mind that it's a fairly short game, since it only has 5 levels, but it's a game that if you missed it on the Dreamcast or PS2, you should check it out. Especially if you like music based games like Frequency or Lumines.
I completely forgot that it was out today and didn't get any point cards but my dad lemme borrow his credit card :D I loved this game on the Dreamcast and it's even better now with the HD and leaderboardsillbitcrusher
Absolutely! It's even more awesome with the sharp HD visuals.

I can see that for someone who wasn't in on the initial release for this game, but most of the people who enjoyed it back in 2001 I think it was, will still enjoy it now. Plus it's only $10! A copy on eBay ranges from $9.99 to $99.99.
This is REZ!EnderSR388I thought you were gonna say THIS IS XBOX FORUMS!!!! and kick him into a pit of death but thats cool too:P

I was thinking about it. :P
hmmmmmm.... yeah... the demo is great.
I just have this feeling that if I buy it I'll be bored with it within a week.
Very tempting though.

Yeah, it's not a game that you're going to play for weeks straight, but it's a fun little game to have when you have friends over and stuff.
I didn't even bother to download the demo, I just bought the game the second my 360 booted up. I've been waiting for this thing to hit XBL since it was released. I like how you can mess around with the sound and visual effects, should add some replayability along with the achievements. Even if it is a very short game it was only $10 so all I care about is that the game is fun, which it is. Very much.

I'm ranked 12th on level 4. Not sure if I still am, but a few hours ago I was. :)
i got it for ps2 a couple years back...THATS hard as hell to find. ill still keep that one....but ill still be dl'ing this one too.
wheni get my 360 back....
heh I also bought Rez HD last night. I remember playing original Rez demo on my PS2 a few years ago. I have been curious about the game ever since. I never got around to buying it for PS2 due to its relatively high price for pretty short game.
Ten bucks is much better deal. I also think that it is one of the few older games that still holds up well and greatly benefits from the HD upgrade.
I was always curious if Rez title is a homage to Underworld's classic track "Rez." :)

If you mean the Kate Beckinsale movie Underworld no, Rez was released a year before Underworld came out. So it couldn't be an homage.

Nope I meant this Underworld. It has been one of my favorite groups for ages in electronica. :)
Edit: After looking at the page that I linked, looks like the Rez (the game's name) is indeed the homage to the Underworld's track.
Has anyone played it?EnderSR388
Have it for my ***. Dreamcast, but I downloaded it on Live Arcade as soon as they put it up. Sweeter than before, but I am a tranceholic so I don't know if it's for everyone. Basically Omega Boost on CRACK.
This game doesn't really do it for me. A lof of flash with little substance. It doesn't really feel very interactive. It's a standard rails shooter. Shooting enemies to add notes and layers to the music track just feels off. It doesn't feel like you are creating a composition.
My impressions are based off of the demo, but from what I have played, this game is extremely over rated. I can't believe 1up gave this game a perfect 10 and said it was one of the greatest games ever. Even worse is how he tries to justify his score going on about how artistic it is and how it is an "experience". It is an experience that has left me very unimpressed. I'll pass on this one. BassMan
I'm not saying it's a perfect "10", but it's an extremely entertaining game, at least for me that is. See, I switch up my button presses with long lock-on strings and short rythmic presses. I also try to match the rumble with the shots. I guess it just a matter of how you play it.
