Depends of which of the prior games in the package you have played. I had played Hl2 and episode 1. I dont have much interest in multiplayer games, so when i bought the orange box for the pc, i got an extra copy of hl2 and episode1. weeee :) Then i got 5 hours of gameplay in episode 2 and then 1 and a half hour of gameplay in portal. Thats what i got from the orange box, so not the best deal in videogame history for me :) But like i said, depends on what your interest and what games you have played.
