Wow Ubisoft, way to screw us gamers over.

Like I said, I don't have problems with certain pre-order bonuses that have nothing to do with in-game content(unless it's a character or 2 online) but to take away 3 hours from the game, that's horrible.

wow if its worth a couple of hours then that is crazy its like they sliced out a big chunk of the game to make people pre ordert it. Im starting to lose faith in fable i mean come on that plus its wont ship with co op what are we paying for a demo then we slowly have to buy the rest.Gen007

The content will probably find it's way into the game somehow, even if it's through torrents.

Personally, I dont find it that big of a deal. If people really want thoese side missions because they just need to have them, then pre order it. If not, then dont. Its as simple as that.MitchellPot

The thing is, it was probably taken from the game. Also, what about those who already pre-ordered it elsewhere? What about those who don't have the money now and are going to buy it later? What about us who are going to rent it? They are taking 3 whole hours out of a game and using it as a cheap shot to sell copies.

I know Canada has EB Games which is the exact same but I don't know about counties anywhere outside North America.

I don't mind the preorder, I mind the fact that it's with Gamestop.

If they wanted to pick a reputable retailer that would be fine. To pick this fly by night band of thieves is just amazing.

I'll wait until the content is on Live and download it there.

the more i hear about this game, the more it worries me. i've been anticipating it for a while, but i think it wont be as good as i hope..

1. no demo.. whether true or not, i always take that as there's something wrong, and they don't want us to know untill after we buy it.

and now a real bonus for pre-ordering.. makes me think even more there's something not right with this game. was going to be a day1 purchase. i think i'll wait for others impressions first now.

and i love the fact that they took out 3 hours of the game (if it's true) to release as bonus.. maybe now people will start hearing my veiws of DLC ruining gaming.. they took stuff out for pre-order. i've been saying for a while they'll start doing the same to hold it back for DLC. (actually supirsed they did it for pre-order, and not for DLC. make more money off DLC.)

that's why i think there's something wrong with the game and they want us to buy it right away before everyone finds out what.. don't get me wrong, i really hope there isn't. but that's the feeling i get.

looks like this game is only going to be a bargin bin buy for me. im not paying 60 bucks for an incomplete game and then pay another 10-20 bucks for content that should have been in the game in the first place.

Now that I know this is true, Gamestop has an exclusive pre-order bonus for Far Cry 2 that gives people who preorder it 6 extra side missions(that they took out of the game) worth an estimated 3 hours of gameplay. This is the dumbest pre-order bonus I've heard of as any of us who don't buy from Gamestop or rent from Gamefly or some other place get screwed over here. This is crap because Ubisoft is giving those of us who don't pre-order this from Gamestop(I don't have the money) a stripped down game. I had no clue that this was even technically legal as they aren't giving us what they advertise(a complete game).dukebd699

wow this kinda of spiraled out control but yeah i was talking completely about fable 2 i thought thats what the topic said when i read it. im glad though this isn't about fable but yeah on topic its still a shame even though its a diff game.

well, if you are already going to buy the game, just pre-order it if you have a gamestop near you!

honestly, i did not know about this so I am definately going to pre order it now.

hopefully this is something that will be downloadable from Marketplace, and released free to everyone else after a few weeks. I guess they are using this tactic to make more people buy it new at full price, rather than waiting a few weeks to get $10 off. It also means that people that buy it new do get something that people that buy used games won't be able to get.

Not sure how they will give players the extra content though, since they aren't going to make one batch of discs for Gamestop and a different batch for everywhere else. I guess a code will unlock it or something?
