So I go to download the new GTA4 trailer and I can't because I'm not 18?

"This account is not permitted to download content with this rating."

Not only that but the content is RP (Rating Pending) not M. So I can own and play 13 Mature rated games and watch porno DVDs on my 360 if I wanted to, but I can't download a stupid trailer. I'm not even as mad about not seeing the new GTA trailer as I am the fact that I'm 17 and can't download what I want because of some stupid rating system. It'd be different if you could change this in the settings but you can't!

Yeah the update is great except for THIS ONE THING...which IMO ruins the whole system for me since most of the games I'm into are usually M rated..so now I can't even download trailers for my favorite games!?

I could care less about the actual trailer...it's the fact that I'm restricted that ticks me off.

And, uh, yeah...it is their fault because they released the update, which is pointless because people lie about their age all the time!

Yeah, the Shrek Games and all disney games usually suck, but not all games that aren't M rated suck. Usually games depend on their "m rated" status just to help them sell. I cannot count how many people buy GTA just because they are promised the ability to "pick up hooker".

Thanks lol, but once again...it's not being able to see the trailer that makes me mad...it's the nerve of MS saying that I can't after I've given them my business. Last time I checked I pay $50/year for Xbox LIVE so I can get the FULL LIVE experience.

I know my post may not have been the most mature post I could've come up with. But imagine my dismay when it wouldn't let me download it, and then finding out there's no way around it. I'm pretty sure everyone would be a little angry if not completely enraged (like me) at the fact that you can't even download a TRAILER.

I think, it is the problem with system... ESRB that is. Since its RP, they assume the worst (knowing how San Andreas turned out), so now its "Adult-like", but not yet decided. Once they rate it M (please, god, let it be M, not AO), you'll be able to watch AND play the game.

Seriously though, check it on the official web-page. The quality is better than i expected.

its because XBL is a 18+ service. Its in the TOS. So mature, defined by ms, is 18+. TC, you agreed to these TOS when you subscribed to XBL. Wait that year or however long it is till you turn. It sucks, but thats life. you agreed to the TOS.

SOLUTION:

Download a Hi-res trailer on the internet somewhere and transfer to your 360 hard drive and watch it on your HDTV. Problem solved. Seems like a lot of trouble just to watch a trailer though.

At least you only have to hold out until your next birthday :D

It's going tobe awfulwhen they say you can't download movies, DLC for games, Xbox games, and arcade games. Not sure if they rate arcade games though.
