Wtf is wrong with MS? Elite out of no where and all that and my 360 broke i called on monday they said i will get a box from them in 3-4 days and its damn saturday already. I called them today and they said that its shipping and they're sorry about thedelay and that i will get it on monday. Did anyone else had same problem?
usually takes a couple weeks, you're lucky... and who cares about the elite, if you want it get it, if you dont its not really gonna effect your gaming

yeah it it will take 2 weeks when i send it to MS and when i get it back it will be around 2 weeks
you have a point with the box, same thing happend to me (they didnt even ship it and they just ended up shipping me one and i didnt have to ship it back (it was a controller BTW)) but the elite, wtf is wrong with you?

they announced that out of no where and now they want a blu-ray player in 360. Hopefully elite wont break as much as premium and core concoles does. Thats a good thing on one side but bad for us premium owners. I mean will you be getting elite? I know im gonna be upgrading to 120gb hdd
Dude, my first replacement took 26 days to get back to me so relax :D My current second replacement is in-process and the UPS coffin came much faster this time, it took them 5 days though so wait another day or two. Yeah it sux...
their customer service is horrible, It's bullcrap that people bought $400 systems and after one year they break...BonesNFG

i found their customer service pretty good, ive had 3 360s in 3 months. but theyve always got back to me in pretty good time. this is the UK customer service, dunno what the US one is like.Â

for how much did u buy store warranty and and for how long? I think it was $30-40 for one year on top of Microsoft's warranty. My system broke outside of the 3 months so I just walked into the store and they gave me a brand new system (not refurbished like the one you get from MS).

But i dont get it we pay $400 per concole and they break so easy Its because they dont care about their customers. Honestly this system has been out for over a frickin year now and they are still breaking down like mad. WTF is MS doing? Why are they working on a new model when they should be fixing the design flaws on the old models? They dont seem to give a crap about customer service or satisfaction....

Store warranty isn't better dude.
Let's say you're system breaks four times in two years then you will basically pay double for instore replacement then you would with MS. Cause in stores like Target or FS, BB, EB they will replace the console which will also knock one year of the warranty you bought so you if bought 2 year warranty with EB and it breaks in one month and you get a new one you now have 1 year left.
With MS's warranty it takes time but it can break a million times it wont matter cause it will last based on the time you have the warranty forÂ

stop blaming MS for a slow shipping company. it's not their fault. next, you paid 400 dollars for your 360, if you paid 470 dollars i'd see why you're complaining but you got what you paid for. still, the fact that that many 360's are STILL breaking is unacceptable.

Well, in my case I know the manager of Gamestop and she will et me keep my old HDD. All they will do is take the new one they will give me and place it with my old X360. I am getting mine replaced cause it's fracking up every time I play GRAW2 on Single Player. They gave me 2 disks and both disks same problem, so there is something wrong with my system. There should not be any problem with asking them to let you keep your old HDD.
my console was the only thing that was messed up, so i brought only the console back to best buy, and i got the entire premium package for free. so now i have two hard drives, two wireless controllers, two hd/av cables, two headsets, etc... not a bad deal.

i did...they had mine for 2 months...and near the end of the second month they tried to tell me they didnt have it...i was vexxed. the next day they sent me a new xbox rush delivery

I'm not so sure about Sony getting a cut. The royalty/patent debate has yet to be settled. The Blu-Ray Disc Association "owns" the format, and its made up of many big companies. Sony just wants to push Blu-Ray because they certainly have an investment at stake. I'm sure they will get some sort of patent/royalty for it.
I don't think Microsoft would worry too much about Sony getting money from an Xbox 360 Blu-Ray Disc Player. They're only competing on the video game console market, not the multimedia market. Right now it almost makes sense to buy a PS3 for Blu-Ray, but once the costs come down, Blu-Ray won't be a focal point of the console and it will become a video game console war again. In other words, those royalties wouldn't do much in the way of powering the PlayStation brand.
