Someone wanna explain why the heck the Xbox 360's "Games On Demand" don't allow you to purchase them using Microsoft-Points? The only method allowed is by *credit card* which kinda sucks, because I have quite a few of Microsoft-Points and it'd be nice to be able to use them on downloadable 360 games. For the record this is apart of the new update. If the only way is by credit card I'll pass and stick with Gamestop's used section or renting.

I watched a video about the new update a few days ago (one of those inside xbox videos). When they mentioned the Games on Demand feature, I remember them listing Mass Effect for 1600 MS points. I'm not sure if this is how they will be managing it or if they'll actually require you to buy a game with a CC.

agreed. but it saves a lot of time from driving to the store. you save gas by buying it on demand. but I still stand by you. $30 is too much :P

Well there's only an option for $19.99+tax next to Mass Effect ,which is to be charged to a credit/debit card only. All the Xbox-1 games have Microsoft-Point symbols next to them though. So from the looks of it, you can only purchase downloadable Xbox 360 games with a credit card. Can't these people do anything right the first time, or does it have to become a failure first! It's just like us not being able to purchase our Xbox LIVE subscriptions using points. I guess some things they'd just like to get over on you with.

I think the Mass Effect for $20 Dollars is ALRIGHT.

AND WHY would you not want to buy with a CC without worrying about points? I mean, don't you guys hate extra/leftover points? There is never a time when you can buy something and use all your dang points. Things cost the weirdest amount!!

I would never EVER buy a RETAIL GAME on live because of one this: HD SPACE!!! Ive had my 360 for a little over a year with only 5 gigs remaining. 13 gigs was not enough, AND IM DEATHLY afreaid of the transporting from on hd to another due to the MANY MANY horror storties of people loosing their data!

I have had the new update for the last 2 weeks ( beta test ) , and from what i have seen on the games on demand section is enough to make you die of laughter. Mass Effect $99.95!!! last time i was at my local game store it was $19.95 brand new, the list goes on with Oblivion at $49.95 Bioshock at $49.95 (you can now pick up a 2k pack with both these games for $49.95 at any gamestore). So my conclusion to this whole Games on Demand issue is IT IS NOT GOING TO WORK.... and oh yeah MS fire that drop kick in market research who thinks Gamers are going to pay top dollar for a game that is three years old. Although MS do have around a week to change it before everyone gets the update.

you can buy a bigger HD and once you buy something from xbox live you can download it as many times as you want so even if something happens to the game on your HD you can re download it as many times as you want.

Exactly! It's a conspiracy for them to get your credit card information. I mean, 50% of users already use their credit card to buy MS points and membership already, lol.

They are going to be accepting MS points after the actual update takes place. After Aug. 11.

Ya why would anyone pay these ridiculous prices. You can get a hard copy of the game for around the same money and you won't be restricted to one gamertag being able to play it.

OK, from the looks of it you CAN buy these with Microsoft Points, but it's almost in a way hidden. You do have to press the "Y" button for it to appear. So at this point this whole thread was useless and I'm to blame! lol, but I will say the games are NOT worth the price you pay. You get no physical manual, no disk and no case so to me that should reduce the price to a more competitive state.

you can use points or a credit card this is straight from the email xbox sent me: Games on Demand – You can now download full Xbox 360 games over Xbox LIVE. You can purchase games using Microsoft® Points or a credit card, and download them directly to your console hard drive. No physical disc is required to play these games.

No you can't and no no one trust your little scam sites that hack peoples accounts. If points were able to be got for free, we'd all be Microsoft-Points millionaires!
