I had 1600 points from back in sept.... now i go and try to download Blades of Glory (Will Ferrell movie) then I wait there for a minute and a screen pops up and it says ... "Can't download [or unable to find] subtitles. Your points have already been deducted from this transaction."

WTF... you didn't even let me download the movie... AND they deducted the points.

Then I go back to the download screen and it says I already downloaded the movie and gave me the option to download it again. My question is... will deduct MORE points?

This happen to anyone else?

Wow I'd e-mail support about that one. If it was regular dlc then I'd just download it again but I'd think they would charge you again for the movie. Hey maybe the big xbox annoucement is they'll let us purchase movies now, if the 320 GB HDD is real.

Could just be a temp tech issue. Still email/call them to make sure. I've had 200 points just sitting there left over for few months and was still there other day.

I have no idea. Your two options are to ring up MS Customer Support now, and tell them what happened, or to "Download Again" and if more points are deducted call MS Customer Service.

Read the "Xbox Live service status" on the Support page on Xbox.com. It'll tell you that purchasing anything over Xbox Live is inadvisable right now.

Sorry about the lost MS points. I got a Gold subscription card thatI've basically been waiting for over a week to use, but I won't until this all blows over.

It won't deduct your points, just incase... Go to Account Management by clicking your Gamertag on the dashboard (if your dasboard doesn't work then go to the media blade). Then go to download history to see if it is in there, you can re download it for free then.

I remember one time when MS stole my points when I tried to download the T.I. song "Big s*** poppin'" for Zune marketplace and it wouldn't let me download it, and I tried 2 total times (each time it didn't download) and each of those times 79 points were deducted from my account, which means I lost 158 points and never got my content.

It makes me suspicious as to why MS makes us use "MS points"...they're making a plan to steal our own money and not give us the content we want.

Microsoft points are a sham. People don't realize its money, but "points" makes it sound so cute and harmless. M$ knows this.

Some people don't realize they just spent $10 bucks to change their online name.

I had 120 points and downloaded the high-definition version of 300 (this was special offer in Europe for 100 points). It failed to download first time, so I went to my history (from Account Management) and it let me download it again. I knew it couldn't take any more points since I only had 20 left.

You could just sue them for $5 million.

They use MS points because the 360 is an international product. They cant make someone in Britain or Japan pay in US dollars.

As long as you have not started watching the movie, then you should be able to download it again. Once you start a movie, it will become unplayable within 24 hours, after which time you have to pay to "rent" it again.
