x box live problem

I bought 2 1600 point cards one didn't work so i returned it and got another the other had the same problem. both said not activated by retailer but they both say activated on the receipt. is there some problem with live right now that isn't letting me reedeem the cards or is it just bad luck?

It takes time for the cash register to communicate with Microsoft and activate your card. I had this issue too, but soon after, it worked.

so i should just wait until tomorrow and it should work?

Nah, wait like another 30-60 mins. Then it should work.

And if it doesn't, mircrosoft is undergoing some techinal errors, check on xbox.com, so you might have to wait until those are resolved.

i'm having the same problem not activated at retailer really annoyin will it hurt to keep on trying or is there like u only get so many chance to put the number in or something because i tried like 5 times and didn't want to mess the card up

yup, I'm having the exact same problem man. it's pretty ridiculous...

and another thing about the card itself did anyone else have to scratch real hard to get that silver stuff off i thought i was going to scratch the numbers off need to come up with a better design than that annoying sillver stuff

its really pissing me off. i try to re-enter it but it says its not valid.WTF??!!

big middle finger to you microsoft. $50 bucks a year i pay you and this is the treatment i get??!!!

To everyone else: If you go to someones profile, is their Xbox gamertagcard that's on their profile page showing or is it a blank card with the name only? Or even on Majornelsons site.I can't see anyone elses... But I can connect to live. Also Mygamercard Livetracker says a single person isn't playing a single game. That's obviously wrong... I hope I'm not the only one seeing this.

I am too i can't see my profile id or my friends.

and this ladies and gentleman is why i have both systems. if one isn't working then i can play the other and if they both aren't working i can play the computer. and if that isn't working i go outside

dude I feel your pain. I just talked to microsoft and they said they can't refund or reimburse me for the points, they basicly said there's nothing they could do....I'm honestly too angry for words right now. I just lost 20 dollars because microsoft effed up and now they refuse to do anything about it. I've had to deal with their unbelievable bad customer support twice before (once for my RROD and once for my wireless adaptor) and now this BS??? You have to be kidding me....
