I was thinking on getting a 360 Arcade. And I know it comes with a 256MB memory unit. So I'd like to know if it's worth it? Someone told me that GTA4 needs to be installed into the HD and it takes up 4GB is it true? Do I need an HD to play many games? Or can I play any game out on the market?

Thanks for the help. Appreciate it.:)

I was in pretty much the same boat as you two weeks ago and wanted to get the 200 arcade model.

After many discussions here and pushes to go for a better model, I got the 20gb Xbox 360 Go pro model, which included the component cables(and the 20gb harddrive) for $259.99...\

For $60 more than the Arcade model, you get the 20gb hd(which will prob cost you atleast $40 used off ebay) and the component cables that include the optical cable output(this will rpob cost you anywhere from 10-40 bucks depending on where you get it).

It was well worth it to spend 60 bucks more(incl tax also) to get one already with the HD and component cables.

If you're planning to play on XBL, the HDD is a good idea.

And seeing as the "New Xbox Experience" will allow you to install games on your HDD, it's a no brainer.

seeing as its only 100$ to get a modle with a hard drive. just wait a bit and get the pro or elite man, you'll need it eventualy anyways.

trust me, if yoou plan on going online and downloading content. than that memory stick won't last ya

I just posted on a topic similar to this, the poster was asking what xbox to get.

The 60GB pro is your best bet, by far. My friend got the Arcade one, whilest I got the Pro one, and he regrets it deeply, simply because he can't do alot of things without a HDD. Oh, and the Pro xbox looks better.

Thanks, for your opinions. I guess I'll get the Pro, the Arcade seems to be too limited:)....Thanks again.

Just to reiterate, you do NOT need a hard disk to play any games other than MMO. You can play GTA4 on the arcade console. No games requires HDD install on xbox360.
