my friend loves playing games online on his PC, but uses his 360 for nothing more than music, pics and single player games. Even with a Live account, this makes no sense to me... 50 bucks for a year tap on something like Live really isn't a bad price and I think its totally worth it. BUT!! If yer a loner and have no interest in being friendly with others online or at the least downloading free demo's and classic games, rest assured the the game selection will keep you busy :)
if you want to play lots of multiplayer game it is well worth. but if you don't and just want to play single player stuff then it is not worth it at all.
yea itis just do what i do by a pre paid gold card for 20 bucks that has 3 months on it buy that if u wanna play online although if u dont have silver now u will loose all your gamerscore points
its not like xbl is 20 dollars a month or anything. its a pretty good deal for a whole year. im sure if you find time to play your 360 then you'll find time to play on xbl over a whole year
Of course it is well worth the cash. It's pretty much a steal beacuse having an Xbox but no XBL is like having sex without a condom. It's fun sure, but it's just not right.

Well then whether or not its worth it is of no consequence. You have to time for it, so why even bother with asking about how good it is? Why even waste time from your busy schedule to ask this senseless question?
I think Xbox Live is worth the money. It isn't an excessive ammount of money to get gold and the benefits are rich. It simply adds hours to gameplay which I think is worth the money. Ill take Gears of War as an example, the single player campaign isn't long atall, but I got into the online game and have since spent countless of hours playing it. If paying a rather small fee adds that kind of hours onto a game, Ill be happy everytime. :)
