Xbox 180 will it ever exist?

I want to know if anyone knows anything about the rumored Xbox 180. These rumors have been going around for years and im starting to thing that ms has no intentions of making it. Most of them talked about it coming out in 2008 and that has been and gone. Does anyone know anything about it?

Handheld systems are a waste of money if you ask me. Sure, if you travel alot for long distances then they are an excellent tool but for people like me who do near to little travel, they simply cannot beat the console.

I remember getting extremely excited for the PSP when it was first announced - pre-ordered it and everything, played with it for a few days and sold it back to the retailer. I think quoting it as "a PS1 four times smaller" because both the performance and the graphics were of a previous age compared to my PS2.

Basically, handheld systems are excellent for children and travelers, however, if you are none of them, then you're wasting alot of money (considering you have a console of course)

The Xbox 180, or anything of the sort, will never come out. I'd bet money on it.

Sony and Nintendo have got this market locked down, if MS were to breach it it'd take a hell of a lot of good thinking. Personally, I think the PSP is one of the best pieces of kit I've ever bought, and the constant firmware updates keep on introducing more and more features. Then the DS has even grabbed some of the more senior market, I have friends who's parents love to play on the DS. I just don't think Microsoft could even touch the handheld market as of now and I'd even bet money that they won't try, but hell I'd like them to prove me wrong.
