Which console should I buy? The Arcade version is only $279 while the premium is $350. Which gives you a better bang for your buck?

Thanks.

The Elite does, your going to want more memory then 20gb, cause you actually only get about 14, the other is reserved for some crap. But the Elite has a lost more memory, and its black, haah.

Out of prem/acrade ... the premium is better. its no fun w/out a hdd to store stuff on :P

it depends on whether or not you want or need the hard drive. the Memory module which comes with the Arcade is good for game saves mostly and you wont be able to download majority of game demos because the size is too big except for xbox live arcade games

I've been thinking the same thing too. With arcade could you go online and play still? I'm not to interested in the demos and movies as Australia doesn't get many of them. But I would pay for some map packs...how big are they?

It depends on what you do if you download lots of stuff from box marketplace and buy and play a lot of 360 games then go with the elite. If not go with the premium then simple as that and if you eventually need more hard drive space then buy another hard drive. It just depends on the person you and what you want for your xbox

The Premium came with Hexic at launch but I'm not sure if it till doe. Carcassone might be still free but the Arcade system's games aren't that good to begin with.

I would get the Premium so you can also play online. (Halo 3, Call of Duty 4) You be missing out on a lot. Some of the demos take about 600 mb to one gig. For a whole game it's about 300 KB. I thinkArcade you get a memory card. Don't even consider buying an Xbox 360 without a hard drive.

If you would consider getting some arcade games I say Uno, Marble Blast ultra which is like Monkey Ball and Price of Persia Classic. It is like the 80's game but with updated graphics. THe Premium you can also download demos for free.

The Arcade is really only worth considering if you're a very casual gamer or are under ten years old.

The debate you should be having is Premium or Elite. I'd go with Elite right now if I was buying another 360, but there are some pretty sweet deals on the Premium right now (i.e. the Forza 2 and Marvel: UA deal).

Premium since in the future you will most likely need a hard drive for online play on all games like GTAIV, and plus its not that much more pricey. Oh and it looks better and you can store your music and photos on it too.

I would say do not get the Arcade version. Either get the elite or the premium. If you plan on putting lots of video files and music on the system, get the elite. Otherwise, get the premium. Because 20 gigs is definitely enough for just game saves and demo downloads.
