Xbox 360 arrived at repair facility dec6th. Shipped back today!!!

WOW! what a fast turn around time.

the whole process took maybe 10 business days. my first call to microsoft was on a saturday, so the box didn't ship to me until monday.

my 360 arrived to the repair facility on december 6th and i just got confirmation that my 360 repair had been completed and shipped today.

the ups website says, "billing information received" so it hasn't actually shipped yet, but i'm sure it will today or tomorrow.

i have thursday off, so if it gets here wednesday or thursday, that would be sweet.

overall, i am impressed by microsofts service, and because of the quick turnaround, i'm crossing my fingers for a new 360 w/hdmi instead of my repaired unit or a refurb. in the end, as long as the thing works like it should, i'm happy.

Excluding the hastle I had of waiting an extra 10 days for shipping labels that never showed up, the service was also pretty quick, better than I expected.

My UPS tracker showed 'Billing info received' for about 5-6 days and only changed the morning it was out for delivery. The true turn around time was about 2 weeks. Not too bad.

How did you get confirmation that your 360 was repaired and shipped? Did you have the 3 red lights or some other problem?

I got mine back in 10 days total. I haven't had a problems with it since I got it back.

You guys are lucky. I sent mine out around the last few days of October and didn't get it back until the last few days of November :(

Lets just hope it doesn't break again...

I'm still waiting for my labels. I phoned on Friday so i'm hoping they arrive either tomorrow or Wednesday. I hope i get a fast return like that. I really want it back before Christmas but that seems unlikely. :(

I hope it's decent for me. I got my first RROD this weekend, late friday night. I went to bed, woke up and tried it again, got the red rings. I called MS, they claimed their 'systems' were updating, which means they are down. I called 3 seperate times on Saturday after being told to call back every 2 hours. Finally on Sunday i called and they were able to process the repair order. I am told to expect my 'coffin' (delivery box) within 3 to 5 days. My buddies have all had to send theirs in at least once, and say once they get it it's pretty quick - just getting the box and what not seems to take the longest in their experiences. Guess i will wait and see and attempt to play in the meantime - played for an hour yesterday and it froze up - didn't RROD but i'm sure it was coming eventually, i just shut if off instead. Sucks cuz next week I am on holidays from work and was hoping to hit up some COD4 for extended unhealthy periods of time...probly won't have a working 360 for that..lol

i had the 3 red lights.

from the beginning, i was going to the xbox.com support site and trying to get my status from there, but the page was having a problem recognizing my serial number.

then i started calling 1-800-4myxbox and the computer voice guy says, "i see you have a support item, blah blah blah." then he said my repair had been completed and the item has been shipped.

now, someone said here that once ups says "billing information received" that tracking number wasn't updated until the day he received his unit back. that kind of stinks because i wanted to be home on thursday (my day off) if it's going to be here that day. good thing i work until 3:30 on friday and have saturday off. i will track down the delivery truck that has my 360 if i have to!

did it ever update, or did you get your 360 a random day later? i have thursday and saturday off and will be home by 4 on friday. so i have a good chance at being home if it'd delivered on one of those three days. i guess if i'm not at work, my ass will be glued to my couch in anticipation of the doorbell ringing. i might have to buy a few 30 packs wednesday after work. :)
