Xbox 360 Black Ops - For the Average Joe

The Sam Turret was a great idea. It works perfectly, but in order to get Ghost Pro, you have to shoot down 30 helicopters with a weapon other than a killstreak weapon. This is VERY HARD to do. So far, I'm 0-8 against the choppers. I've tried everything to stay hidden but, if I can see them, they can see me and byt the time I get a "tone" (lock), I'm dead. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

If a chopper comes out you might want to avoid your team maybe. If the chopper sees a bunch of people, they will aim for them rather 1 person standing around.

u dont have to take down 30 choppers for ghost pro.. it can be any enemy aircraft like spy planes ... which are real easy to get

you dont even need ghost at all really. Its quite simple stay out of the heli's line of fire. You can almost always find an angle that allows you to lock on to a heli while stll being safe from its fire. you can also catch a heli while its back is turned to you or its focused on someone else.

screw shooting down Helo's man, blast the ever-present Spy Planes and Counter Spy Planes (yes they count, I'd say 2/3 of the 30 were Spy Planes when I got Ghost Pro)

also, use the Strela launcher (if you have it), holds more rockets than the LAW.

if it's in the sky, it's an aircraft. Use a lock on launcher and shoot at everything. When i went for Ghost Pro i took down UAV, counter UAV, care package drop helo and all attack helo's, it is actually really easy to get Ghost Pro, use it religiously on regular TD S&D etc hardcore dont matter too much

Well. I am almost up to my 2nd prestige. Does anyone know what the difference is between the regular leaderboard and the Prestige leaderboard? I would like to know before I spend the $50K.

Alos that MP5 is the stuff. Close range (with rapid) is a killer. i got the idea from a new friend on line. I hear the Galil is the awesome as well. Goning to try this one tonight.

I forgot to add..............I heard there is a Bowie Knife in the game. How the hell do u get it? Now, that's something I would love to have.

the points are if you get x amount of kills you get 10k in experience which makes you level up and get 1000 cod pts and in the game you score 2.5k and get a match bonus of 3k

you would get 2550 cod points in that match because it is 10% of how much experience you earned and the level up bonus

My brother just got an Xbox with Kinect. Can I video chat with him thorugh my XBOX camera. When I go to the area on my dashboard, it only has an area for Kinect (even though I don't own one). What happened to the video chat on dashboard? Was it deleted with the new software?

Also, I did my 2nd prestige and am using the Galil. I'll try the Famas next. I tried one of the shotguns...but I have to be real close to do any damage.

One more thing: Why does it take 2 shots to kill with a sniper rifle? That should be an automatic kill. Or at least put them in last stand...lolololol

Found the answer to the XBOX vision question I had. You have to go throuight Kinect tab and download the new software. Now I can have video chat my brother, even though I do not have the actual Kinect.

i thing the buying your perks/guns etc is very good but the contract and wagering system are very useless in my opinion and for choppers just use a law and wait until you hear it shoot and then go out and take a shot at it and the bowie knife is only aviable in zombies

You can lock onto choppers just by painting their rotor blades, take advantage of that, I use the RPG wuite a bit, since it can't be derailed by flares.

As for the prestige leaderboard, its just the same, only you start over, and only people who have bought it rank in it.

Offense Medals – Get 10 Offense Medals by killing enemies near their objective. TIP: Play Headquarters, Demolition, or Sabotage, since the enemy will more likely stay close to their objective to protect it from being captured.

I have been trying to get the Lightweight Pro perk, but I am having a hard time getting kills at the right moment. When does the Offense Medal get awarded....under what cercumstances. I am getting kills in the game but not getting any offense medals.

2nd post today: What's the deal with all the players without mics? On some of the games, it appears to be crucial to comunicate, but there are som many who have no mics. Yesterday I plauyed Sabatoge and most of the games there were only three or four people with mics. During one set, I played against a party with full mics and they defeated us in about 2 minutes.

That sucked.........royally.

In most cases, unless you know all of the people you are playing with, you don't want to hear what your teammates are saying anyways. Most COD players don't care about the objective, just kills.

Yesterday I plauyed Sabatoge and most of the games there were only three or four people with mics. During one set, I played against a party with full mics and they defeated us in about 2 minutes.

Well I only use my mic when I hear anything other then the screeching of a little kid, loud over bumped music, trash talk or chatter, all can be useless.

That is one of the reasons I love the mute button. It gives me the opportunity to shut up all the racial, sexual and other negative comments. It's also one of the reasons I don't let my neice and nephew play online. How can a grown man consider himself a real man when he is cussing out a child. In addition, (I'm on a roll) where are the parents when the kids are playing. I hear some of them say things that would make a sailor throw up. And Lastly: Is it really wise for a 10 year old to be playing a game with such language and actions?

Its not like I don't use the mute button I just never hear any useful chat really, honestly I spent the first 48hr I played on line (buddy that bought it for me came by for the week) with my mic plugged in and not once did I hear any plans, support, warnings, help, or just information passed around the team. As for the younger people that get exposed/cause this well why are they playing a game rated M anyway? because free choice just like the choice you make when you don't let your niece and nephew play, its really a funny thing.

I've been hearing people complain about the new maps but I think they are pretty cool. The price was about $15 bucks and i think they could have dropped to the price to around $10, however, who knows how much it cost to produce.

My one complaint is probably about the game's clipping. I have gotten a few kills because a person is behind a steel wall or door and I could see an arm sticking through it. Really weird...but I shot them anyway (LOLOLOL) They need to fix that. Still I am enjopying the new maps.

One request: Could you guys oplease turn on your mics so we can have SOME strategy? There are moments when run angf gun just doesn't win a game....especially when they are a better team. (LOLOOLOLOL)

I actually have my mic plugged in most of the time, but the whole not helping people is the reason I play with friends, and if I'm playing with randoms, I'm one of the few that actually plays for objective and try's to help the team, which usually ends in people getting mad and me just muting them and saying screw it, I'll let them die in the same spot over and over.

I've noticed that a bit also. Recently I was playing the version where you plant a bomb (can't remember the game type). The guys I was playing with were really good. I mean REALLY GOOD. We were destroying the other team, but instead of planting the bomb, they just wanted to humiliate them and rack up kills. We even lost one of the games because they were intent on not setting the bomb until they made everyone on the other team quit.

It got old after a few games so I left the room. I just didn't understand why we could just plant the damn bomb and get on with it.

Are people getting tired of playing Black Ops.

OK..... haven't posted here for a while, but I have noticed in the last week, or so, that the number of players has gotten lower and lower. Are people getting tired if BlOps? Last night the nuber of players was just over 300K. It's getting a bit creepy. Where are all the players?

Are you guys playing something else? If so What is better than Black Ops.
