I don't want to buy Nyko's cooling fan because of the problems i've heard about it consuming too much power. So i'm looking for a fan powered by the USB and Pelican has this one: http://gear.ign.com/articles/763/763900p1.html but my main complaint is that IGN says I can't sit my 360 down horizontally.  However, when I went to the store to look for this fan, there was a picture  on the side of the box that had a 360 sitting horizontally with the fan on it. So I don't know who to believe? IGN says that it doesn't work horizontallly but the manufacturer has a picture showing it does work. Anybody have this fan? Any opinions?

I guess if the xbox 360 was hanging over the edge of something it could sit horizontally. Thats not smart imo, and if you try to sit it horizontally without hanging it over an edge, the 360 will be tilted diagnally which could scratch your disks. My advice, don't get the Pelican fan stand if you have to place it horizontally. I think there is another fan like the Nyko one that uses usb, but I don't know where I saw it.

I don't think there is any need to buy a fan for it...just keep it in a nice open area away from sources of heat and it should be fine.
