Do they still sell the 250$ Xbox 360 core? or do they just sell the 270$ arcade version.

The Core is the Arcade now. They just added somethings, along with the HDMI port on the back. Still doesnt come with a Hard drive though.

then seriously don't buy one.....your gonna want live if you really want to tap your 360 for everything its worth, therefore you need the pro.......plus, if you can't afford 20$ to purchase the system in the first place, wtf are you going to do about games?!!?!?!?

I wouldn't even worry about the Core version. Go with Pro.

you can't afford $20? dude i really would reconsider buying any gaming console then, as most games are about $60.

If you don't plan on having anything XBOX Live, period, go with the Arcade. At least you get wireless controllers instead of the wired ones. But if you want to get the most out of your experience, go Pro. I doubt you can keep a console for very long before you realize you can't play certain games anymore without a hard drive. If you go with a Core/Arcade and you decide you want a hard drive, you're going to be spending more money on one than if you just bought the Pro/Elite, since they cost $120 just for the 20 GB (or something like that, all I know is that it's really expensive).

The Arcade really isn't a good buy, spend an extra $100 for the pro, actually just buy the elite, I would have if it was out before I got mine. You will spend SO much more money if you end up wanting the Live expierence, I know you may say: "But I don't want the Live experience." but then like three or four months later you'll be like: "Ahh, I DO want the live experience, now I have to spend alot more money...I shoulda listened."

Trust me, I had this conversation with a friend of mine, he didn't listen, cause he never played games online, then he came to my house, and saw how unimaginably AWESOME online gaming is, and went out and spent about $200 to get Live. (Harddrive, Headset, Live acount).

The arcade is the core now and if you can't svae up an extra $20 then you probably shouldn't get a 360 (how will you pay for games?).
