I'm convinced that the Core version sucks donkey balls. I asked this question cause I'm gonna sell my Wii and get a 360. I wasn't sure what was different between the two versions.manjoYah the premium costs more but it's well worth it. I don't even know why they made the core package
Core package is for the wuseys-no hard drive
no-controller
no-xbox live package
no-harddrive
=100 $ in great features
Core doesnt bring hard drive, ethernet cable, wireless controller, HD cables, or a headset! And it doesnt have a chrome finish on the disk tray which in my opinion makes the xbox look more sleek!Gerardo1963Â
I think the crome looks better but the Core system looks more stable as a Disc drive to me.
I have a core with a HDD and wireless controller. My brother has a Premium. As far as i can tell the only difference is the color of the disc tray, core being white and premium being chrome. Personally In prefer the 360 all white.
As far as i know, this is what comes in the box of each package:
Core - XBOX360, 1 wired controller, video cable (yellow, white and red), power supply, leaflets/sticker etc.
Premium - XBOX360, 1 wireless controller (excluding recharge kit), component HD cable, Hard drive, wired headset, ethernet cable, power supply, leaflets/sticker etc.
The premium console is far better value for money, but if its too much the core is a good option providing you buy a memory card.

They probably made the core package so people who cant afford the full premium package can buy the core then upgrade the system bit by bit. And also for people who are not interested in Live.
