I have a very small SDTV, no money at the moment for a new TV, but I also have a laptop with a good 15,4 inch screen which is very clear. My question is; does anyone know how I can display Xbox 360 on my laptop screen?

I have the standard cables and VGA cables for the 360. Help is appreciated.

Nope, you can't hook your 360 up to your laptop, even with the VGA cables. The computer is internally connected to the lcd. If you have a VGA port, plugging it in there won't make a difference. When you do that, your laptop tries using your 360 as a monitor.

the money is a MAJOR issue... there's no way to do it free, you need to buy some type of usb video capture device... even then the resolution won't be great depending on how much you spend... not worth it... save your money and hey, i played on a standard tv for a long time before i could afford an hd... then i gave that to my mom and bought the vga cable for 360 and use my computer monitor... bought a new monitor, now i use my 22in WS monitor for pc and gaming through 360... it's not the end of the road, just tough it out till you can upgrade... realize though, in the end, you may not end up where you thought you would... yeah, i coulda waited and bought a 32in lcd like i planned, or even simply kept my 27in hd... but i love my monitor...

There is a VGA port on most laptops but that is for outputting to another monitor.

Thanks guys. I won't play on my SDTV though, it's very very crappy. I'll buy a cheap new LCDTV somewhere. A small one. No HD but I guess it'll have to do.

Yeah, but I can geta cheap LCD TV for almost the same price as a good monitor. I'd rather have a TV then just a monitor so...

SDTV aint THAT bad, totally playable ffs!

My philosophy is if you going to pay for a HDTV buy the best you can afford to last longer, dont go for crappy ones.
