I have a viewsonic vx922 best gaming monitor when i bought it. Pc games look amazing. Just got a 360 and bought a vga cable. The image looks stretched pretty much like running a 1024x768 game in my native 1280x1024 in a pc game. Overall it doesn't look good. I put in my xbox with vga cable in my friends crt and it looked amazing, same as a plasma tv. I don't know what to do, i switched resolutions, everything. Any help/Ideas?

Go into the dashboard and scroll all the way to the right, go to console settings and screen settings, change the output 480,780,1080 to whichever one looks good.

If that doesn't do it for you, go on craigslist and find a cheap/free CRT monitor that's local and go pick it up.

Just hold out until the fall update. Microsoft is giving us 1440x900 and 1680x1050 resolution in the update. That should fix the stretching.

Try changing the resolution from the system blade and set it to 1280x1024. If it still doesn't look good, it will ask u if you want to try setting it again, choose yes and you should finaly get it right.

Xbox already supports 1280x1024.

Obviously putting it a 1280x1024 was my 1st idea. Also what you mentioned about hitting no, try again it just reverts back to the previous setting.
