Hey guys, I recently decided it was high time I make the move to next-gen. I have a PS2 at the moment, and I haven't played an Xbox in my life (since a 600$ PS3 is a little out of my reach) so I was wondering, do you think it will be difficult to get used to the new controller? Are the layouts similar to a dualshock's? Thanks :)
I love the 380 controller. I never really did like the dualshock. But like you're about to, I switched from a PS2 to a 360, and I couldn't have been happier. I got a Wii too, so I'm a proud and happy Wii360 owner. I haven't even thought about getting a PS3 though. So, I think you'll be more then happy once you switch over, I am.
ya its easy to adapt to. i had a ps2 before my 360. it took like a week to get the feel for it just because the controllers are bigger. but ull def be happy getting a 360 the own any other system.
It will be an easy transition for you. I myself went from a PS2 to 360 last year. I was hesitant because the controller layout is diffrent than that of the playstation's. After picking up the 360, I realized it was a great decision. The controlls work better for shooting games than on the PS2.
its same as going from ps1 to ps2, the button layout is actually the same except the 2 sticks ,, ones on the lower right the others the upper left every other button is the same as ps3 controller also better resoponsive ,, and is the 2nd best controller to me the best to me is the wii ,, original fun and easy like a mouse setup
Another PS2 -> Xbox 360 convert here.Yeah, I kinda had to adjust to the D-pad and the left analog stick switching places on the 360 controller myself, but it was an easy adjustment fortunately. Feels perfectly natural for playing shooters like Halo and GoW.I don't really like the D-pad, though,and tend to steer clear of games that rely on it a lot. Fortunately there aren't many. So all is good.
Another ps2-360 convert. I played xbox before, and the old controller was sorta crappy. but thankfully, the 360 controller is really easy to pick up, and fun to hold. i love looking at it...
