Xbox 360 freeze prob

OK, I've had my xbox for about a year, and now, when i turn it on , after 10 minutes, at the most, it makes a beep sound on the tv, and it just freezes, or the screen goes black, and all i can do is turn the xbox off

Any help appreciated

Mine did that twice last night within 30 mins of eachother.

Second time I turn it off and when I turn it on I get the OH-So welcomed suprise (Well, Expected) the RRoD.

because i got the 3 rings b4, but i just blew into it ,and it worked again

I don't know if this is related, but my console was inflicted with three rings of death:cry:. So I ship it back to Microsoft to get it repaired for free, but instead of getting my console back they replaced mine with a refurbish one. Ever since I got it it seems that my games have a harder time playing and occasionally freezes during gameplay:evil:fatjoe400

huh thats weird that happened to me and my friend i feel like suing them but i really do't want to and i think they actually gave me an old one then a new one like i had i was pissed cause the motor runs louder and gets hot quickly i never thought about it but how did you find out they gave you a refurbished 1

I'm straight up sending them a note saying a refurb is out of the question.

I paid $350 dollars for something that's effectively a paperweight in 9 months. A $350 piece of hardware should be more reliable and I don't want to go through this again.

After getting the package I sent my console in back, it had a note saying that for convenience they sent me a replacement console so I could enjoy playing my Xbox sooner:roll:. I thought it would be okay at first because my console was kind of old, but after playing a couple of new releases the freezing problem started to occur. I planning on getting Soul Calibur IV this month, so if I have any problems playing that game this console will go back:evil:

I'm sorry to tell you but that's one of the first symptoms of RRoD. I can tell from experience that just happened 3 days ago that my Xbox kept on freezing sometime barely even making it to the Dashboard. And until yesterday it just confirmed my fears, the RRoD appeared.

ahhhhhhhh mine does that two damn microsoft your getting an angry letter and il probably be to lazy to folloe through for another month andforget about it

My xbox just got the RRoD a few days ago. Prior to the RRoD, I had all that freezing and crap. Luckily for me, I've had my xbox JUST over 3 years which the war. only covers up to 3 years. So I searched on craigslist for someone that could fix my xbox for cheap, and found someone to do it for $20 bucks, uncertified of coarse. But now my xbox is freezing again and I don't know what to do... :(
