I used to have a wow account, but had to cancel it for two reasons: 1. i had to pay for xbox live, 2. i was getting bored of the pc style gaming, but i'm starting to miss the mmorpg style game. since i have drifted into the realm of first person shooter games, i would like to get back the the online multiplayer- style rpgs. (preferably in a fantasy/medieval setting)

If your talking about mmorpg's specifically the only thing close to wow is final fantasy 11. But that's another bill on top of your Xbox live.

I'm afraid Xbox isn't particluary well known for mmo's. I like those kind of games too. Definitely a gap in the market for it.

There really aren't any. Only one I can really think of is Final Fantasy 11, and that isn't worth it.

Ok, I'll lower my standards a little, it doesn't have to be an mmo.

try phantasy star universe. There is a only demo that is online. you can quit a bit content for the demo. The real game has WAY WAY WAY MORE content, There is a fee you have to play. ALSO for some odd reason you don't have gold you can still do it with silver

Dark Souls, it has PvP and PvE and lots of looting and monsters to slay. You can also troll people and invade just for the hell of it over and over.

Lol, although probably over rated its still a good game. And I said he couldn't go wrong because it sounds exactly the type of game he is looking for.

There's nothing like that on xbox

Reactivate your wow account if you have the itch

Lots of people only play WoW on PC and just console game the rest of the time.

Eh not really. The only other MMORPG is FFXI, and it kind of sucks. Stick with your subscription to WoW. I'm still playing it and I just bought Cataclysm today because it's on sale for TEN BUCKS at Target!

Nobody's mention Sacred 2: Fallen Angel yet, and that needs to be mentioned.

One thing I really liked in wow was the amount of character specialization/ custimization. None of these games really have that.

This! Kingdoms of Amalur legitimately is WoW as a single-player RPG.

None really.

Few years back Borderlands had a very active online community. You could play coop with other people. Should pickup with Borderlands 2.

Borderlands (shooter), Dark Souls (medieval), and Skyrim are your best options. If you are looking for good, reckless fun, go with Borderlands. If you are looking for the prototype video game, go with Dark Souls. Its tough as hell, awe inspiring, and has a lot of replay value. Skyrim kind of speaks for itself, but if you are looking for a game with a ton of ambition, and nearly infinite replay ability, go with that.

I am a little upset this game doesn't get more attention. It is a well made game that has shortcomings, just like everything else ever made.

For an MMORPG that isn't an MMORPG, KOA is a perfect choice.

If you're looking for MMO's the PC is where to go really.

The conoles don't have much to offer in this regard.

Guild Wars 2, Terra, WOW, Rift, and a ton fo others are/will be free to play and offer a ton of fun gameplay.

Also, most of these don't require a killer gmaing rig to run. Upgrading your current desktop with an $80 vidoe card might be all it takes. even building a chepa gaming rig from scratch for MMO's can be done with $400 or so (go with AMD's APU's - should serve you fine for 720p gaming).

I don't know why people are ocnvinced you cna only do one or the other. I know plenty fo people that game on both their PC's and their consoles. Neither the PC nor the console police with storm your house if you do that, I promise! ;)
