My first xbox 360 overheated all of the time.  The next one they gave me ate my game discs and destroyed them.  The third one I got burned out the memory card unit slots and I am lucky if it even boots up; it doesn't boot up all the time.  I now have to send it in for another repair.  Every time I get a repair all my new content that I previously downloaded from marketplace doesn't work unless I am online and it won't work on other profiles!  I am very unhappy with Microsoft and my Xbox 360.  =[  Anyway I feel better now that I told someone.  On a happy note I sure am glad I bought that warrantee!  Best $60 I ever spent!  LOL.  I just hope the next one works.

If MS wasnt half assed in making the 360 you wouldnt have had to buy an extra warranty.

Damn, what is it with these 360's? it seems like one in ten spontaneously burst in to flames... though it's funny, whenever someone talks about theirs busting, it's usually never just once.. it's almost always their 3rd or forth system... and yet others have had the same one since launch without a hitch... maybe there is something about your house that is non 360 friendly ... maybe the power fluctuates or you have poor ventilation. ... or little trolls sneak into your living room at 3am and make sweet troll love to your box and the next time you turn your system on the Troll juice short circuits the 360.. just a theory..

Dude,i know the feelin,im on my 3rd xbox, the first one got the dreaded "3 red lights" and the other one had the freezing problem. Just when ya get a replacement ya think all is well and then s&%t like that happens. Thers only one thing worse than having a busted 360, and thats the wait to get a new one.

Mine busted twice, the disc drive stopped opening without manual force, and then the power cord crapped out, I'm thinking about getting an Elite, but only after a few months pass and I don't see another million complaint threads.

*puts fingers in ears* nananana I can't hear you. x360 never breaks. MS would never put out a faulty system... But on a serious note apparently I'm one of the few people...*knocks on wood*...that hasn't had any problems. Its been a year now and my counsel is running great...

It is highly improbable that some of you are burning through 3 to 5 X-Box 360's and are taking excellent care of them. I love the "check out my sweet setup" forums with pics of setups with 360s in little tiny cubby holes. Some of you should really evaluate the environment you put your 360's in.

Agree completely.  I also recommend not moving it around a lot.  A friend of mine moved his constantly from the front room to his bedroom to the basement and wash and repeat.  His just died after a year and mine is over 15 months with no probs.  If you've gone through 3 or more, it has to be something that YOU are doing.  Yeah, its a bit of a fragile console, but its best to just treat it like one instead of continually replacing them, right?

I am on my seventh one.......so at least you are doing better than me. Hopefully they will start to fix some of the problems soon, the newer generations do seem to be better than the older ones.
