How do i connect my xbox 360 headset to the 360 console? Is the headset only used for xbox live?Can it be used for single-player?

just plug it in, only for xbl, but some headset like the Turtle Beach, you can use the headset and mute the TV.

You plug it in your controller lol and yes you can use it only if you are connected to xbox live (if you have silver u can use it to chat with people, if you have gold you can use it to chat with people and while playing games online)
