Hi

I bought an Xbox 360 today, and since my monitor doesnt have an HDMI jack, i went and bought an HDMI to DVI plug, i played some games for a bit so everything was smooth, besides having no sound, i dont have a clue how i can hook my speakers/headphones into the console. When i try to put the HD AV cable into the console it wont fit due to the HDMI plug being in the way.. I am quite clueless, Please help.

the HDMI should provide sound as well, least it does for mine :S but the HDMI to DVI plug may have just taken the signal for the video, not the sound

I have the same setup and i'll tell you how to fix it

basically, you have to either A) buy the super experience official Xbox HDMI and RCA kit or just goto this website for a quick way to get your old 360 audio adapter to plug in with the HDMI

http://www.chadledford.com/?p=50

I did it to mine and it works perfectly.

thats exactly how I have mine hooked up. The only thing i added was a RCA to stereo-mini and a coupler so i could plug in my headphones or speakers
