Hi- I'm thinking of getting an intercooler for my 360. Does anybody else have it? I'm curious to know if it is a helpful tool to buy and if it really does the job. Thanks
I have the Nyko intercooler for the back, and it is amazing. It's a little loud but man you can rip on the xbox for hours and it will be slightly warm.
But make sure that you get the 2nd generation one with the metal end piece instead of plastic.
What's the comparison between the nyko intercoolers and the pelican fan stands? I play about 1-2 hrs everytime before I turn off my console but I've also heard that these intercoolers actually damage your consoles, is that true?
They suck. One of my friends has had one for a few months and his 360 still got the 3 Rings of Death. The biggest problem with them is that they blow air back into the 360, fighting with the fans blowing the air out.
so how do you prevent overheating? apart from give it breaks...

Place your 360 near a window or somewhere that cold air comes through. That will help your 360 stay cooler while it's running for a long time. Last night I played assassin's creed and cod4 together straight for 6 hours with no problems. But I usually play at night when it's cooler and cold air comes in through the window to better ventilate the 360.

just keep it in an open are like a the flat surface of a desk:D i have launch system play about 4-6 hours a day and pretty much leave it on all weekend with about 24(straight) hours of acutally gaming and no problems here:D
Get the Titan coolers, you hook them up on the back your 360 (onto the little holes back there), and connect it to the usb port there, and it blows air OUT of the console, it blows a lot of hot air, which is good, because if it were blowing inside the 360 it would push back all the hot air. It really helps, it's the only thing that gets hot on my 360. The console itself is cold.
