I've just noticed that my xbox360 is starting to freeze a lot, but I think it's my fault because my 360 is boxed near some walls...

So would it help to get an intercooler

yes and no. If you get the one for the back it only cools the back if you get one for the bottom it only cools the bottom.  I dont think you can attach both at once,  so what i do is get a personal fan (its about 1'x1' ) and it works perfect

You seriously want some way to cool your system. I got the intercooler as a gift so I use it, a ^^fan^^ would work just as good though.

I got it and it seems to work fine. It's the best selling "addon" at my GameStop. I've never had any trouble with it though some have. If you're having locking-up problems you suspect are heat related and you've already got your 360 in a fairly open area I'd try one out.

Yes it works but at a cost. Micrsoft was right when it said it sucks power away from you 360 i noticed especially in gears of war it causes the framrate to drop in cut scenes and its more likly to freeze. I noticed the change after i removed it when microsoft stated they would no longer repair units with scorce marks from intercoolers.
