Xbox 360 life span?

Hey guys i just want to ask something, How long will the xbox 360 be out forbecause Ive read on somesites that its only going to be out for4 years?

how would anyone know that?

the average life of a console is nearing the 6 year mark.

the 360 is 2 years old. so i expect a new system announced in 2-3 years. and for it to be on the market in 4-5.

The next xbox, if any, will be out in 5 years from the 360s launch, but Im betting theyll dump the 360 real quick much like they did with the original xbox.teebeenz

I don't know... I think they'll ride this console out longer than 5 years -- Sony certainly will -- but I think they'll make some changes to it. Obviously, the heat issue has got to be solved... maybe some other stuff. I don't think the rumored Arcade System will be the last... and I think, honestly, HDMI will NOT be the biggest change made to the consoles.
