xbox 360 live problems

When i was signing on the dashboard I would be on live for like 2 seconds then it says it cant cant connect the messager and when check the connection setting everything is o.k and i can only go on live when I play 360 game nothing on the dashboard.

I am having the same problem. When you go to marketplace, there's not even "redeem code" or none of that stuff, right? Man this sucks, I was supposed to finish Halo 3 with my cousin tonight.
