You have to have Media Center Edition of windows XP.karriston

To expand on that, there are different Win XP versions. You can stream music and browse pictures using Media Connect with any version of XP to your 360.

For the rest of the stuff, like streaming movies, recorded TV and the like, you need either Windows XP Media Center Edition or Vista. ( I have Ultimate and am not sure what other version works )

You obviously don't know what you are talking about since XP Home is not Media Center. My advice to you is to go to www.xbox.com and read the tutorial.

Go to your xbox dashboard and go to the Media tab. Go down to Media Center at the bottom an select that. Then follow the directions it gives you. By the sound of it though you don't have Media Center on your computer and this won't work anyways. So, go to xbox.com and download the Zune software. This should allow you to stream at least music to your xbox. Maybe more, not sure.
