Ya i took apart my xbox 360 for repairs and on the back of the motherboard I noticed something unusal ... their are these white things placed over the black chips... are they saposed to be their or should i not tuch themm... has anyone who has taken apart an xbox 360 seen these before!??!!? they can come right off

bah dont touch them its so the electricity dosent conduct anywhere else.

I took it apart because it was passed the warrenty and I found a way to fix it... =D

Its so the chips don't touch the heat shielding or the inside of the case.

Even if it is passed warranty there is still a good chance MS will replace it free of charge. Just call and b**** to their customer service. Worked for me almost a week ago when my 360 died.

They use them to keep the metal shielding from touching the PCB.
