xbox 360 needs to step up there game

with ps3's upgraded service coming out and M.A.G. coming out im going to ditch xbox 360 unless they do something major.

Yeah, from what I can tell, MAG's 256 player online may sound really cool, but it's all kept to 8-vs-8 skirmishes, and people who've played the MAG beta keep saying that they didn't like the gameplay because the shooting mechanics weren't satisfying. They're also saying they liked the BFBC2 beta much more. I only mention the BFBC2 (Battlefield Bad Company 2) part because people keep comparing the two, making me think the gameplay is similar.

So what do they have? Right now, it's God of War III (touché, Sony), the better version of FFXIII (trust me on that one), Heavy Rain (touché again), and some titles later in the year. The premium service sounds okay, but I doubt most people are going to pay for it because they already have online play for free.

Good to know, I've only heard a few people defending it over on the GB forums. Are there parts where there really are 256 players in one battle? I thought everyone was relegated to different parts of the map.

only thing I heard MAG is gunna run 30 frames per second, that is really low isnt it?

MAG isn't gonna be that good. The IGN editors who played it thought it was pretty generic and boring. Having 256 players online doesn't immediately make it good. Are Mass Effect 2, Halo REACH, Alan Wake, Splinter Cell Conviction, Fable 3, Lost Planet 2 and NATAL not major enough for you? If not, then shut up (and learn some grammar ffs).

IMHO NATAL is just a gimmick and I agree 256 players might make a game "good" but it is groundbreaking

I have no idea where you heard about 8 vs 8 because thats bull. Each playlist has a max number of players i played with 64 players in one game (as i am not a high enough rank i cant play the bigger games as i havent played it much) there are two teams. Each team has an Alpha, Bravo, Charlie and Delta squad with 8 people on each and each squad can go anywhere.

You're looking for System Wars. I was going to buy a PS3 Slim 250GB bundle that comes with Uncharted 2, BF:BC & Need for Speed something for $600 (AU) about 4 days ago. I ended up buying $400 worth of 360 games & the rest on other things. The only games I was really interested in were Demon's Souls, GoW III & the FF series. Now I'll get FF XIII for the 360 & maybe pick up a PS3 next Christmas, closer to FF versus 13 release.My reasoning was Demon's Souls & GoW III wern't worth spending $600 AU for & I know nothing about FFV13 yet, while the 360 is about to get some top games & more throughout the year.

MAG is a poor shooter with the gimmic of 256 player battles. Other then knowing that there are 256 players on the map, you're only going to be battling a portion of that at a time (which is lucky, it would just be a big mess if you didn't). With that said, why play it when you can play MW2 or BFC2? They maps may not be as big, but you will see the same amount of enemies because of that, & play with better mechanics/controls.

Heavy Rain doesn't interest me at all. Interactive movies - ugh. I don't get the hype. The Last Guardian looks promising though, especially after how good SotC was, but again, I knew little about it. I'll be saving the money for Halo Reach, Mass Effect 2, Fable III, Alan Wake & awesome multiplats for my 360.

LOL why do PS3 fanboys always use MAG as a good game for the ps3. I have a ps3 and have spent a good deal of time with the beta and i can say with 100% certainty that that game is trash. 360 has plenty of good games coming out this year and ME2 is better than anything PS3 has coming out for the ps3 in the first half of 2010.
