For those of you who have, is it worth it?
Are there enough quality PS3 exclusive titles that warrant owning both systems?
Resistance 1 and 2, Killzone 2, Metal Gear, Drakes Fortune...
Anything i missed? What about on the horizon?
Thanks.

Not really. I got my PS3 for free but i find i barely play it compared to my 360. I have Killzone 2, MGS 4 and Socom Confrontation. The only reason i'm happy to have the PS3 is for Socom Confrontation. Only because there is no game like it on 360. MGS4 was fun while the SP lasted but the online is pretty bad. Killzone 2 is decent but there is better FPS than it. That's just my opinion though.
If you're not sure if it's worth it, don't get it. Wait a few months when more games get announced and if it's still not worth it, then maybe it's not worth getting it. With the way the economy is, I wouldn't buy anything unless I am at least 90% sure it's worth it.thanks guys i appreciate it, but outside of maybe 6 or7 titles i just don't know if it's worth it.

Yup, it's worth it. If you are a fan of games in general, you can't go wrong with having both systems. As mentioned above, the blu-ray is a great plus, and there are some really good games to try out. I'm in the same boat with many of the others here, Resistance 2 was a bit of a let down imho. I really enjoyed R1 much more. Again, if you're a fan of gaming, you'll enjoy it. There are plenty of good games out now, and even better ones to come for both systems.
Basically this but I don't have a Wii yet :P. The major ones I like for it are Valkyria Chronicles and Uncharted, Killzone 2 looks good but is overrated, MGS4 is good but 1 still my fav out of the series, Resistance 1+2 are pretty generic. It's a great system with great games but I really don't play it that much as I should, just had an urge to buy I guess.yep.. totally worth having all 3 systems.. but i haven't touched my wii in like 8mos..

Yes Bluray is awsome I remember watching my first one on a 1080p laptop it was Rambo the new one, and the quality was outstanding at least noticibly x5 better picture quality and x3 better sound than DVD go and see some demos of it at your local stores, well worth checking out man ;)
I have both and believe the PS3 has the better exclusives and will continue getting the better exclusives through next year with God of War. Some notable exclusives are Metal Gear Solid 4, Demon's Souls, Little Big Planet, Ratchet & Clank series, Uncharted 1 & 2, and The Last Guardian (not yet released). I don't know how you justify buying a console, however with 10 highly rated games so far, with more to list here, that is enough for me. Plus, I think the PS3 d-pad is a lot better for fighting games. Overall though, I like the 360 controller more. It feels omre natural in my hand when using the thumbsticks, which is the primary movement controls in any game. The PS3's feel weird. I enjoy the Xbox dashboard a heck of a lot more than the PS3's. I as well like XBL a lot more, even though you have to pay for it, I don't mind. One thing about the PS3 is that you can use just about any size hard drive as I believe they just use laptop hard drives, if I'm not mistaken. To answer your question simply, yes, there are enough quality PS3 exclusives to justify owning the console. All the ones I listed are very good quality (don't know about The Last Guardian and I hope God of War is a given).

I personally bought both systems for exclusives and eveything myself, After having every system out there, I'd say my ps3/xbox 360 wasn't worth it.
I play my xbox 360 only now because all my friends go on it, when I tried playing both it was hard, I'd make really good friends on both
Then having all systems, I Could barely afford to get all the games, let alone the DLC for my 360. Then when a game like modern warfare 2 comes out, (If you are a huge fan of it) It is such a painful decision to pick or like borderlands... Unless you wanna buy it on both systems.. But If i had more friends on the ps3 i'd play the ps3 more, All I can say for now, Is the money you spend on a ps3 and games for it, it might not be worth it, you could buy alot more 360 games, or dlc.
But thats just my opinion if you disagree feel free to reply.
I own all 3. Other than MGS4 and Uncharted, I see no reason to really own the PS3 other then BluRay which is exactly what I use it for. the 360 is just so much better. The 3rd party is always better on our console, and there just arn;t enough exclusives.
Killzone 2 imo was mediocre, The Multiplayer is cool, but no one uses voice chat making it rather boring and shallow fast. reason being voice communication lags games on Killzone 2, Horrible netcode that game has.
I never tried resistance 2 just because Resistance1 was a terrible game and I have no intention of spending full price, ill wait until its a greatest hit.
Its not a bad console, Its just that its content, at least for me is unimpressive. The only real reason why I bought mine was because after it was announced that they dropped PS2 BC Support on new models I rushed out and got one so I wouldn't have to keep my PS2 hooked up anymore and have the current gen console hooked up.
But Uncharted 1&2 are amazing games, least I can say that. those games are just Fanfreakingtastic.
shouldn't this be in the system wars? I could be wrong so don't yell at me plz :)For those of you who have, is it worth it?
