what is the difference between the power brick of the older 360s and the newer ones that come with the falcon chip? the only difference i know about is that the brick that comes with the newer 360s is 175W instead of the older 203W. are there any differences other than the wattage? also, is it safe to use the older brick with a newer system?

thanks for the help.

Sorry man, this thread is way to nerdy to warrant a real response...

I'd imagine it's safe to use a new brick with an older system, I think aside from the Wattage is that maybe the newwer ones are little more safe from 'over heating' but I haven't heard of any problems with the bricks doing that since launch

From what I understand, the 175W brick isn't enough juice for the old chips.

You can use and old brick with a new console. The word is a few falcon chip 360s even came with 203w power bricks. You can't even plug a new power brick 175w into an older console, because the plug is shaped a bit differently so as to not allow it.
