Xbox 360 price cut?

Has anyone else heard anything about an xbox 360 price cut? If you have, do you have any idea when it's supposed to happen, because I don't.

I'm going to buy one soon so I need to know.

Yeah, evidentaly the Wall Street Journal just announced that they would drop the Pro model from $349 to $299 "as early as Sunday."

I JUST bought a pro for $349 two days ago from Best Buy. Does anyone have any idea whether or not I'm elgible for $49 store credit because of this?

You could just try returning it for store credit w/out telling them your plan, and then try and buy a new one, and you will have the left over credit.z-man34

i just read the article on the front page of gamespot and it says the Wallstreet Journal has confirmied the 299.99 price cut and will be available july 13th.

yeah you have 30 days to return it as long as you have the receipt. my friend did this at best buy several years ago with the gamecube. like 2 weeks after he bought it it dropped in price. i plan on doing the exact same thing at walmart. i bought a pro system about 5 weeks ago(walmart has 90 day return policy) for 349. im hoping the just give me the difference instead of making me turn mine in and getting a completely different one and lose all my saves.
