Ok, well after asking a hell of a lot of questions on GS, I decided to buy an Xbox. After making enough money through selling, scrimping and saving I finally have enough. But one thing still eats me up.

I want an Xbox 360 Pro/Premium (the one with the Hard Drive and Wireless controller) but all I see are bundles. I'm in Canada and all the bundles are $399.99, about $420 in the U.S. The question I'm asking is this: Why do I have to buy the bundles? Can't I just buy my 360?! What happened to just the base Xbox 360. No I don't want a core, in the long run they suck.

As good as Forza 2 is, I really don't want to play that right now; I'm more interested in Bioshock, Halo 3 and other games. I really just want my Xbox 360. Why am I complaining? Because if you do the math, bundling Forza 2 with the Xbox saves you only $10 off of the game itself. If you purchase the 360 by itself, it comes out to only $350 or $349.99 if you're technical.

So, Where can I buy Xbox 360 without a bundle?!

Right here. I don't know if EBgames ships to Canada, but I am sure it does. And that is American money.

I live in Canada as well, the budles that i see are $399.99 for the Pro which include a game Free. To buy this without the game would be the same price. Not sure what the problem is, if you don't like the game sell it. I have not seen any Pro consoles under $399.00 Canadian after the price cut.

I don't know where you're getting this idea that you can get a new 360 in Canada for $350. The Core version is $300, Premium is $400 and Elite is $500.
Official Canadian Xbox website with prices - http://www.xbox.com/en-CA/Hardware/compare101.htm
If you don't want the Forza bundle then you can always go to Futureshop. They still have the GRAW/Arcade bundle.

Either way you're getting a game for free, you're not getting $10 off.

Future shop should sell them as Packages and non-Packages. They are a best Buy affiliate.

Best Buy doesn't sell the Premium console outside of a package in Canada. You can only get the Elite on it's own.

Yeah, but think back a loooooooong time ago. Remember when the 360 launched? It was just the 360, nothing else. that's what i'm looking for (it makes it cheaper)

Yeah, so like oxrs said above, in Canada you can only get the premium (dubbed 'Pro' by some retailers) for $399.99. Future shop sold the Premiums with no games only a month ago, and they cost the same price as they do with the forza 2 bundle (or CoD3, if they have any left)... Besides, you're going to want a game to go with your new 360. If you don't particularly like the game you get, trade it towards a different one. Either way, it's going to be money saved in the long run.

Yeah, I remember. I got mine at launch - they had really expensive bundles with 6 different games, extra controllers, etc and they had the console on it's own. The point you're missing is that you can't find one on it's own for cheaper. The consoles cost $400 on their own. The bundles cost $400. All the bundled items are free. Free. Not an extra cost you can get rid of for a cheaper console. It doesn't make it cheaper anymore. It's just an option of buying the console for $400, or buying the console and getting a free game. Not much of a choice, really.

Im in canada, why are you complaining about bundles? when 360 first came out I paid $500 all together for a core system, then I had to put some money into buying a $120 hard drive. The bundle used to be $600 with the tax. There's no buying a console buy itself with a hardrive and controller, thats what the regular bundle is and comes with FREE STUFF
