The only flat surface close enough to my TV other than the carpet is ontop of a refrigerator. Is that going to be bad for the hardware? i mean something to do with magnets or something? any short term or long term effects?

If you even have doubts of where to put it, then don't think about putting it there then, it's obviously not safe. Also, refridgerators are sometimes kinda warm, do you think it's safe then? Go buy a table -.-

Why don't you just use the box your 360 came in and not take the chance? I did for like 6 months. It fits perfectly.

Sir, are you on drugs?:roll:Darkon_X
In soviet russia, drugs are on you! as for the refrigertor thing, you actually have a fridge close enough to your tv to put your xbox on it? Even if you do fridges work by removing the hot air, so it would get pretty hot.

nah, put it on the floor? the fridge puts heat every where and putting it in there will not work. humidity would get in the 360 cause it not to turn on lol. yay my 360 will never overheat because it always being cold.

I wouldn't put it on your fridge because if you did you would risk the chances of having someone bump into it while the xbox is on and therefore damage some discs accidentally.
