Sorry about all the questions since I asked about the Core vs. Premium before, but I have another one. I was planning on buying a refurbished model because that way I could by an extra game. However, I'm not too sure on the reliability of refurbished 360s and I am really afraid of the Red Rings of Death. Does anyone know if the refurbished machines are good and if not does Microsoft still take them back even though I wasn't the one to originally purchase it from a store or anything. Thanks for any responses.
with the red ring failure rate and my troubles with five replacments i would avoid refurbished systems and wait for the new chip set before purchasing a 360 and my personel advise always buy new.
Well you have a couple options, wait for the new xbox 360's with the 65nm chips or get the refurb that you want and if it gets the red ring of death send it to xbox and they will send you another refurb and this will keep going and going until you get lucky and finally get that one refurbished console that has actually been fixed properly... All very annoying and one word for it all "Microsoft"

Buying a refurbushed one just for 1 extra game is really not worth it when it comes to a 360. Just buy a new one.
