so far it's been about 5 days since i called repair and i think they said they'll send me a box to put in my 360 unless someone else had other experiences. I wasn't sure if i was suppose to send in my 360 with my own box and use UPS or could i use US postal service? XSlyGOG
I recieved my box on Saturday, I think it was five or six days after my call and I sent my Xbox 360 in Monday. The box was crushed and in bad shape, thanks to Microsoft for only putting two little foam things to put around my 360 in a box that they sent with cheap shipping. I was able to get the console in the box and tape it up so it should be fine. The box also has a new label to stick on it for the new shipping address and it shows that it is prepaid. All I included in the box was my 360 (minus harrdrive and all power cords), the two foam pieces around my 360, and a piece of paper saying the number the person at 18004myxbox gave me, my name, phone number, and address.
I just dropped my box off at a UPS place about a minute away, where it was picked up and I recieved my tracking number.
so we call UPS and tell them to pick up our box or do we give it to UPS to send it. Sounds like that was a terrible situationXSlyGOG
Calling them to pick it up would cost about $20, kind of defeats the purpose of waiting for a box for free shipping.
Just go to ups.com and see what the nearest dropoff place for you is.
The box comes with a piece of paper saying what to do.
